He later continued his education in accounting at the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to joining Atherton Kiehn in 2000, David worked as a staff accountant for a Bedford accounting firm and as a tax accountant for Bass Enterprises. He lives in North Richland Hills with his wife Shanna and their four children, Dillon, Dawson, Delanie and Dakota.
